First time in Jln. Legian

its my first time to visit the famous Jln Legian street in Bali, Indonesia. Jalan Legian is a small one way street. Along the street you will mostly encounter male locals asking you if you package tour, learn surfing or car rentals. Just don’t mind them for a simple ‘No’ will invite more persistence from them. Go on, just walk straight.  I must say its really really busy with what nots, everything about beer and women and mostly aussies with large tattoos all over their backs. If you are in Bali and you find out you forgot something, like toiletries, extra undies, extra swim suit, surfing needs, another pack of smokes,  you can find it here in Jln. Legian. There’s Billabong, Crumpler, Roxy, Birkenstock, Indo shops with all sorts of souvenier items, so you wont miss much from your home country. I didnt miss much shopping (big grin)!

At the end of Jln. Legian is the site of Bali bombing in 2002. There used to be a Paddys bar here where suicide bomber triggered the first bomb. The people of Bali erected a monument there with a wall dedicated to the 202 people who lost their lives that unfortunate night.
